# Create a SendWhale account with email or Google OAuth

> Sign up at /signup or /register with email and password or Google OAuth, confirm your email, and move into the onboarding flow to set up your workspace.

Creating a SendWhale account takes under two minutes. Go to [gosendwhale.com/signup](https://www.gosendwhale.com/signup) or [gosendwhale.com/register](https://www.gosendwhale.com/register) — both paths lead to the same registration form. After you confirm your email address, SendWhale starts the onboarding flow where you'll set up your workspace and brand details before sending your first campaign.

## Register with email and password

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the registration page">
    Navigate to [/signup](https://www.gosendwhale.com/signup) or [/register](https://www.gosendwhale.com/register).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in your details">
    Enter the following:

    * **Full name** — Used in your account profile and as a default sender name.
    * **Email address** — This becomes your sign-in credential. Use an address you can access immediately for email confirmation.
    * **Password** — Must be at least **12 characters**. Choose a strong, unique password you don't use elsewhere.
    * **Confirm password** — Must exactly match the password field.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Accept the terms">
    Check the **Terms of Service** and **Privacy Policy** checkbox — this is required to create an account. An optional checkbox lets you opt in to product updates and marketing emails from SendWhale; this is not required.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit the form">
    Click **Create account**. SendWhale sends a confirmation email to the address you provided.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Register with Google

If you prefer not to set a separate password, click **Continue with Google** on the registration page. You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen. After granting access, you're returned to SendWhale and your account is created automatically — no separate email confirmation is required when using Google sign-in.

<Info>
  Google is the only OAuth provider currently available. Additional OAuth options may be added in a future release.
</Info>

## Confirm your email address

After registering with email and password, check your inbox for a message from SendWhale. Depending on your account configuration, you may receive:

* **A confirmation link** — Click it to verify your address immediately.
* **A one-time code** — Enter the code on the confirmation screen.
* **Both** — Use whichever arrives first.

<Note>
  If the confirmation email doesn't appear within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. Mark the email as "not spam" to ensure future SendWhale emails reach your inbox.
</Note>

Confirmation codes and links **expire** — complete the confirmation promptly after receiving the email. If yours expires before you use it, return to the sign-in page and request a new confirmation email. A **resend cooldown** applies, so wait a moment before requesting another if the first resend doesn't arrive immediately.

## After confirmation

Once your email is confirmed, SendWhale starts the **onboarding flow** — a five-step setup covering your business identity, logo, mailing address, team size, and campaign goals. You must complete onboarding before accessing your workspace.

<Note>
  Your workspace is created during onboarding, not at the point of registration. If you close the browser before finishing onboarding, sign back in at [/login](https://www.gosendwhale.com/login) to resume where you left off.
</Note>

## Need to change your email address?

You cannot change your registered email address from the account settings page during beta. If you need to update the email address on your account, contact [support@gosendwhale.com](mailto:support@gosendwhale.com) with your request.

## Already have an account?
