# SendWhale MCP Prompt Templates for AI Campaign Workflows

> The draft_email and review_campaign MCP prompt templates load workspace context and guide your AI client through common SendWhale campaign workflows.

The SendWhale MCP server ships two prompt templates that guide your AI client through common campaign workflows. Selecting a prompt loads your workspace brand context and suggests a sequence of tool calls — it does not automatically execute writes, send emails, or schedule anything. You remain in control at every step.

## `draft_email`

The `draft_email` prompt guides your AI through drafting a new email campaign using your workspace's brand context, memories, and design instructions.

**Arguments:**

<ParamField query="workspace_id" type="string" required>
  Your SendWhale workspace ID.
</ParamField>

<ParamField query="goal" type="string" required>
  A description of the campaign goal. Be as specific as you need — for example: `"announce our summer sale to loyal customers"` or `"re-engage subscribers who haven't opened an email in 60 days"`.
</ParamField>

<ParamField query="audience_id" type="string">
  Optionally pre-select an audience for the campaign. If omitted, the AI will suggest one based on available audiences or prompt you to choose.
</ParamField>

**What it does:**

1. Reads the workspace brand context resource (`sendwhale://workspaces/<WORKSPACE_ID>/`) to load your brand voice, memories, and instructions.
2. Uses `list_templates` and `list_audiences` to understand available options.
3. Guides the AI to produce a campaign using `create_email_template` and/or `create_campaign_draft`.
4. Returns a draft ready for your review in SendWhale's UI.

<Note>
  The `draft_email` prompt does not send or schedule anything. When the draft is ready, open it in SendWhale's UI to run preflight checks and confirm delivery.
</Note>

## `review_campaign`

The `review_campaign` prompt guides your AI through reviewing an existing campaign draft before you send it in SendWhale.

**Arguments:**

<ParamField query="workspace_id" type="string" required>
  Your SendWhale workspace ID.
</ParamField>

<ParamField query="campaign_id" type="string" required>
  The ID of the campaign draft to review. Use `list_campaigns` or `get_campaign` to find this value.
</ParamField>

**What it does:**

1. Calls `get_campaign` to fetch the full campaign, including subject, HTML content, sender details, and audience.
2. Checks the campaign against your workspace brand instructions and memories.
3. Surfaces feedback on subject line quality, content clarity, audience alignment, and any obvious issues.
4. Suggests specific edits you can apply using `update_campaign_draft`.

<Note>
  Prompts are workflow guides — they do not send or schedule campaigns. After reviewing and applying any suggested changes, open the campaign in SendWhale's authenticated UI to complete the final delivery step.
