# SendWhale Docs: Email Marketing Platform with Swell AI

> SendWhale helps you create, send, and analyze email campaigns using Swell, your AI campaign assistant. Everything your brand needs, in one workspace.

SendWhale is an email marketing platform built around Swell, your AI campaign assistant. From brand setup and audience management to campaign drafting, scheduling, and analytics — everything lives in your workspace so you can move from idea to inbox with confidence.

Registration is available at [/signup](https://www.gosendwhale.com/signup). Some features described here require additional account or provider setup — look for the **Availability** callout on each page.

## Make your first campaign

The fastest way to get started is to set up your brand workspace, build a consented audience, draft an email with Swell, and send it.

    Add your brand name, colors, logo, voice, and website to your workspace so Swell can draft emails that sound like you.

  <Step title="Import your contacts">
    Upload a CSV or spreadsheet of subscribers, map fields, and assign them to an audience. Importing an address does not create marketing consent — use signup forms or record consent manually.

    Open Swell, describe the campaign you want, review the draft, run preflight checks, send a test, and confirm delivery to your audience.

## Key concepts

| Term | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Workspace** | Your brand's isolated environment — all campaigns, contacts, and settings live inside a workspace. |
| **Swell** | SendWhale's AI campaign assistant, scoped to your workspace's brand data. |
| **Audience** | A named list of contacts you send campaigns to. |
| **Campaign** | An email you draft, review, and deliver to an audience. |
| **Template** | A reusable email design you can base campaigns on. |
| **Automation** | A workflow that sends emails automatically based on triggers and conditions. |
| **Hosted Page** | A public newsletter or landing page at `/n/:slug`. |
| **Integration** | A third-party service connected to your workspace (CRM, e-commerce, chat, etc.). |

## Beta availability

Features in SendWhale are in one of three states:

* ✅ **Available** — Implemented and ready to use with a standard account.
* ⚙️ **Requires setup** — Implemented, but needs additional account or provider configuration before it works.
* 🔜 **Planned / unavailable** — Not yet ready for general use.

Each feature page includes an **Availability** callout when setup is required.
