SendWhale is an email marketing platform built around Swell, an AI campaign assistant that helps you research your brand, draft campaigns, and iterate on content — all from a single workspace. Whether you’re a solo creator or part of a full marketing team, SendWhale is designed to get your first email out the door quickly and keep your campaigns consistent with your brand over time. SendWhale is currently in private beta: the public homepage at gosendwhale.com is a waitlist, but accounts can be created directly at /signup or /register.

Who SendWhale is for

Business owners & creators

Launch branded email campaigns without needing a dedicated marketing team or deep technical knowledge.

Marketers

Manage audiences, build segments, schedule campaigns, and analyze results — all in one place.

Designers & brand managers

Upload logos, define color palettes, and set brand voice so every campaign stays on-brand automatically.

Agencies & developers

Manage multiple client workspaces and integrate SendWhale into your own tooling via the MCP server and Brand Context API.

Core workflow

The typical SendWhale workflow moves through five stages:
  1. Brand setup — Define your brand identity (name, colors, logo, voice) so Swell has the context it needs to write on-brand copy.
  2. Contacts — Import consented contacts and organize them into audiences and segments.
  3. Campaign drafting with Swell — Describe your campaign goal in plain language; Swell produces a full draft you can refine interactively.
  4. Send — Run preflight checks, choose your recipients, and send immediately or schedule for later.
  5. Analyze — Review campaign reports to understand engagement and inform your next send.

Key concepts

A workspace is your top-level account container. It holds your brand settings, contacts, campaigns, templates, and integrations. Every SendWhale account belongs to at least one workspace. Workspaces have four roles: owner, admin, editor, and viewer.
An audience is a named list of contacts. You can create multiple audiences to organize contacts by source, product line, or any other grouping. Audiences are the recipients you select when sending a campaign.
A campaign is a single email send — it pairs a template (the visual design and content) with an audience (the recipients), a subject line, a sender identity, and a scheduled or immediate send time.
A template is a reusable email design. Templates define the layout, imagery, typography, and placeholder copy. A campaign uses one template as its starting point.
Automations are triggered email sequences — for example, a welcome series that fires when a new contact joins an audience. Automation capabilities are part of SendWhale’s roadmap.
A hosted page is a public URL SendWhale manages on your behalf — used for signup forms, chat widgets, meeting booking links, and content pages. Hosted pages live at /n/:slug, /form/:publicId, /chat/:slug, and /book/:slug.
Swell is SendWhale’s built-in AI campaign assistant. Swell reads your brand context, drafts email copy, suggests subject lines and preheaders, and helps you iterate on content through a conversational interface. Swell is available inside the campaign editor and via the SendWhale MCP server for AI coding environments.
Integrations connect SendWhale to external tools — such as your e-commerce store, CRM, or AI development environment. The Brand Context API and MCP server are the primary developer-facing integrations available today.
