SendWhale subscriptions are managed through PayPal. From the Billing settings page you can review your current plan, check usage limits, and change your subscription at any time. Only workspace owners have permission to make billing changes.

View your current plan

Navigate to Settings → Billing to see:
  • Your active subscription plan
  • Current usage against plan limits (contacts, sends per month, and features)
  • Your next billing date
Review this page regularly to make sure your plan matches your sending volume and contact list size.

Upgrade or downgrade your plan

1

Open Billing settings

Go to Settings → Billing in your workspace. You must be the workspace owner to proceed.
2

Select a new plan

Browse the available plans and click Select on the plan you want to move to.
3

Complete checkout via PayPal

You are redirected to PayPal to authorize the subscription payment. Log in with your PayPal account or enter a credit or debit card to complete checkout.
4

Confirm your new plan

After a successful payment, you are returned to SendWhale and your plan is updated immediately. Verify the change in Settings → Billing.

PayPal checkout

SendWhale uses PayPal as its payment processor. When you initiate a plan change, you leave the SendWhale dashboard temporarily to complete authorization on PayPal’s secure checkout page. You can pay with a PayPal account balance or any credit or debit card accepted by PayPal.
Do not enter payment credentials anywhere other than the official PayPal checkout page. SendWhale does not store, process, or have access to your payment details at any point.

Billing permissions

Only the workspace owner can view billing details, change plans, or update payment information. Admins, editors, and viewers do not have access to the Billing settings page. If you need to transfer billing responsibility, the current owner must first transfer workspace ownership to the new owner.

Plan limits

Each SendWhale plan includes limits on:
  • Contacts — the total number of contacts across your workspace audiences
  • Sends per month — the total number of email sends allowed in a billing period
  • Features — certain features may be restricted to higher-tier plans
Check Settings → Billing at any time to see your current usage and limits.
PayPal subscription billing is available for plans that have been configured and tested. If you encounter an error during checkout — such as a redirect failure or payment decline — contact support@gosendwhale.com for assistance.
