Brand settings define the identity that SendWhale and Swell use when building and drafting campaigns for your workspace. Every field here — from your logo to your footer address — feeds directly into how your emails look and what Swell writes. Brand settings are per-workspace, so each workspace you manage can have a completely independent brand.

Brand settings fields

  • Name — your business or brand name as it should appear in emails and hosted pages
  • Website — your primary website URL; used when importing brand source material
  • Description — a short summary of what your business does; Swell draws on this when framing email copy
  • Logo — your brand logo, displayed in email templates and hosted pages
  • Colors — your primary and secondary brand colors, applied to email templates
  • Fonts — the typefaces associated with your brand; used in template styling
Set a brand voice to guide Swell’s tone when drafting email copy. For example: professional and concise, warm and conversational, or bold and direct. Swell applies this voice to every draft it generates for this workspace.
Provide your site’s navigation structure or key page URLs. Swell can reference these when creating links or suggesting content relevant to your audience.

Importing brand settings from your website

Supply your website URL in the brand settings form and select Import from website. SendWhale fetches publicly available content from your site to pre-populate fields like your description, colors, social links, and footer facts.
Never rely on auto-imported data for legal disclaimers, prices, compliance text, or your business address. Always review and manually verify everything that was imported before saving — automated imports can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
After importing, go through each field and confirm the values are correct. Pay particular attention to your footer facts and any legal statements.

Saving and switching workspaces

Brand settings are saved per workspace. When you switch to a different workspace, SendWhale loads that workspace’s brand settings automatically. Changes you make in one workspace do not affect any other workspace.
If your business address changes, update it in brand settings as soon as possible. Your footer address appears in every campaign email and must remain accurate for CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliance.
